A: MPM program is designed for students to be skillful in elementary math while also building up a solid foundation of middle high school math concepts. However, MPM’s training emphasizes not just mainly math skills, but also other domains—problem solving, critical thinking, risk-taking, perseverance, etc. from which our students will be benefit from for shaping out their successful lives.
A: MPM math aims to help students understand math concepts, practice accuracy in calculation, and even gain a positive learning attitude which our students can take it throughout their lives. Some well-known math programs mainly focus on math drills or simple computation which only reflects the least portion of the math knowledge that we can apply to our daily life experience. Refer to our sample questions to learn more about the inclusiveness of our math program.
A: Hands-on experience is crucial for young children’s learning. In our program, various kinds of manipulative tools are used to help our students understand math concepts. Through operating these purposeful tools, learning math becomes fun, meaningful, and effective.
A: MPM’s personalized learning system allows students of various ages/grades attend the class at the same time. Each student works on his/her own workbook with the guidance and instruction from an instructor. The exercise of working and thinking independently in the classroom also prepares our students to approach and solve their own problems with a positive and active attitude.
A: Students will work on half of a book (7 pages) of their own workbook set each time in class and take home the book to finish the rest as homework. They need to turn in their homework for correction by an instructor. Students are requested to make corrections if they make any mistakes. The correcting model educates our students to accept and deal with the mistakes, which is critical to living in our modern lives.

A: The assessment serves several purposes: 1. to let the students get a little bit of idea of what MPM program’s math problems look like (so they can be prepared for a math training different from their previous experiences); 2. to allow the instructors gain a little bit information of the new students’ current math knowledge and their motivation, independency & attention span in a self-learning environment; 3. to help the instructors, based on the evaluation outcomes, choose a suitable workbook level for the new student to start with; 4. to give parents some insights of their children’s strengths and weakness. The free assessment test takes only about 30-40 minutes.
A: Since our program is designed to have mix-aged/ mix-grades students working independently in the classroom at the same time, new students can join in any time when they are ready. After taking the assessment and sign up for the program, please allow 7-10 days for the student’s individual workbook set (8 books / set) being available. The instructor will inform parent about student can start his/her lesson.
A: We charge the tuition fee based not on a student’s grade level, but on their workbook level. Please ask Ms. Angela for the latest fee structure.
